Important information

Check-in:You can check in from 15:00

 

If you arrive after 18:00 you must inform reception directly that you will arrive late.

 

Early check-in is possible if the room has been cleaned before 15:00. It costs NOK 200 if you have not ordered directly on our website. If the order is made directly on our website, there is no additional cost.

 

Check out:You have the room until 12.00 on the day of departure.

 

Late check-out can in some cases be arranged with the reception. It costs NOK 300 and payment must be completed before 12:00.

 

Pet: The hotel has a few selected rooms that are suitable for dogs. It costs NOK 300 and requires free capacity. Requests to bring a dog must be agreed with reception. Unfortunately, cats are not allowed.

Breakfast:Is included in the price of the rooms/suites.

Non-smoking: The hotel is non-smoking. Smoking is not permitted indoors anywhere in the hotel. The ban also applies outdoors in hotel rooms with their own terrace. If you choose to smoke, a fee of NOK 3,000 is added.

There is no minibar in the rooms. 

With us you can pay in cash, use Visa Card, Mastercard and American Express. Unfortunately we do not take Diners.

Room: All rooms are different. Unfortunately, it is not possible to order a specific room number. 

If you choose a room with a "sea view", the room has a window facing the sea. The view may be partially blocked by the service facility, boats and the like which are beyond the hotel's control.

 

Cancellation policy:

General Basic Rule: If the guest does not show up without cancellation (No Show), the guest pays the room price for the first booked night of stay.

Late cancellation:

 

The cancellation must be made no later than 12.00 the day before arrival, otherwise the guest will be charged a day.   

NB! For festivals, the cancellation must be made no later than one week before arrival.

In the event of illness: In the event of illness, the guest is charged for the entire stay.

The guest is responsible for checking whether the travel insurance will reimburse the amount.

Note that during special events other cancellation rules may apply.

Ordering online, the payment terms are as follows:

- When you order online, you pay via NETS secure payment page.

You will receive a confirmation by email when the order has been completed. 
 

Cancellation policy

Unless otherwise agreed in writing with the hotel at the time of booking, the booking can be canceled up to 12:00 the day before arrival. In case of cancellation within the deadline, Risør Hotel AS will refund the guest, but in the case of bank transfer, Risør Hotel AS requires a handling fee of NOK 250.00 for bank costs - the handling fee is deducted from the amount in connection with the refund. If you do not show up and have not canceled in advance, or you cancel after 12:00 the day before arrival, you will be charged for one night. If the hotel has incurred costs due to your booking, you must also cover these.

Restaurant

The restaurant is open every day during the summer season, normally from 26 June to 8 August (exact date may differ). The rest of the year, the restaurant is open for conferences and private parties. Please get in touch if you are a larger group that would like catering.

 

HSE

On each floor there is a fire map showing all the emergency exits, fire extinguishers, escape routes, meeting places etc. In each room there is a corresponding plan description. For your own safety and that of others, we ask you to familiarize yourself with these plan descriptions.
