Embla was started as an AMO course in 1992, where course participants received vocational training in the goldsmith trade. Today, the company is run by two women who have been involved from the very beginning. These two also carry out the jewelery production themselves. The company has a charming workshop in connection with its own outlet on the pier in Risør.
Bring your gang and fill up with inspiration. Here you will find jewellery, bags, bunad silver, scarves, interiors and other fun things. This is ideal as a 2-hour activity before the conference dinner or for private events where your group wants a completely unique experience outside normal opening hours.

Risør Aquarium
There are around 500 fish and sea animals in the aquariums, of which around 100 different species. Here you can experience the fish up close! Yes, maybe you can even stroke the cod over the back. Thanks to a good collaboration with local fishermen, hobby fishermen, divers and researchers, the aquarium constantly has a good supply of new species.

Afternoon tea in Sigurdsen's house - An experience in Risør
Krags gate 33 once belonged to teacher Knut Sigurdsen, who taught at the primary school in the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s. The house was completely restored in 2002-2010, but the entire 2nd floor has been returned to its original state; furniture has been looked after and restored, and the interior appears roughly as it was in the early 1920s.
We have now opened parts of the house to visitors, and welcome guests who would like to experience one of Risør's historic homes. I want to give the guests an experience in a special atmosphere. I want to tell a little about the house's history, the people who have lived here, and a little about Risør's history and development.
Afternoon tea is served here, a British upper-class tradition that has become particularly popular in Norway in recent years.
Afternoon tea consists of sandwiches made in the English way and cut into triangles, scones with cream and jam, and delicious cookies. Tea is served, of course, (or coffee for those who prefer it). discovered surroundings. It is covered with Danish porcelain, crystal and silverware.

Risørflekken is an old sea mark that is visible 12 nautical miles from land. A large area of the heath above Solsiden in Risør is whitewashed. Risørflekken is easily accessible both on foot and by car.

This is a quiet class suitable for everyone, regardless of experience. You work with basic exercises in breathing and movement, and enter positions that create both mobility and stability in the body's overall system. A nice combination between dynamic and static exercises that give the opportunity to exercise focus and presence.
If the weather permits, we are at the Dampskipsbrygga with its proximity to the sea or on Risør's roof Urheia. There is no better location for a Yoga class.
The instructor is Kari Waarum Vierli and she has hundreds of hours of yoga training from India, Upaya yoga and AYM (Association of yoga and meditation), the Yin Yang Academy in Sandvika, etc. She also has an education in dance and movement.
Suitable for groups of up to 20 people. and lasts approx. 1 hour
Bring your own mat and/or a blanket. Dress according to the weather.

Camp Skarvann
Camp Skarvann is located in scenic surroundings by the freshwater Skarvann, 2 km from the Øysang ferry camp. Activities in beautiful nature such as canoeing on Skarvannet, walking on paths, swimming or cozying up with a fire in the lavvoen.
